There’s Nothing Like The Classics

It’s all about books here. There’s just something about the classics. I know now is all about the up and upcoming, but every now and then I like to pick up an oldie. I’ve only ever been disappointed once or twice reading the classics, but the majority of the time, I fall in love with the stories. I would say they are about the only romance novels I will read. I don’t usually read romance novels and have only read a few current ones – some of which have surprised me (in a good way). It’s always good to alternate between new and old.

So, here are some of my favourites:

Pride and Prejudice

To Kill a Mockingbird

Animal Farm

The Great Gatsby

Romeo and Juliet

1984

The Picture of Dorian Gray

Wuthering Heights

Here are the ones I’m looking forward to reading in the coming future:

Catch-22
Lord Of The Flies
Frankenstein
Great Expectations
Moby Dick
Anne of Green Cables
War and Peace
One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest
The Time Machine
